Physical Description:
Though hybrid from three distinct families, Seth is predominantly fox with only subtle variations. He is an average height with a sleek and naturally light form. His coloration is almost entirely fox: spreading from his chest, it blends from white rimmed by rust red to gray with a black stripe down his spine and tail. Twin patches of non-fox orange sit on the sides of his face, behind his eyes and above his jaw. Although the majority of his body is furred, feathers blend in on his back, mixing until they dominate the central black line. His muzzle and ears appear fox as well, though his muzzle is muted and ears sharpened and tufted by his feline heritage.
Seth primarily wears a variety of formal clothing. The majority of his wardrobe was chosen for function and quality over any sense of fashion. The single exception is a stylized lab coat worn exclusively for its looks. It is primarily white, with deep red geometric patterns and a lining of the same color. Additionally, Seth is almost always carrying a shoulder bag. It is a simple, sturdy design embellished only by a Unity insignia pin on its strap.
Background:
Seth's life has been that of a natural Einheit hybrid. Although he was born in a colony three years before Frey's exodus, he recalls nothing of it and does not consider it part of his life.
Early in life, he and his hybrid parents avidly followed the ideals of Frey. They worked hard to have a good life and ensure all those around them had the same. During this time, Seth's life was entirely dedicated to one form of work or another: a full basic education, various technical jobs, and his family's philanthropic activities. Regardless of the lack of free time, he was very satisfied with life.
Beginning higher education, Seth left his home for the dorms. There, away from his parents' dominating ideals, he became entranced by the fledgling Unity. From its inception, he felt it was a profound and real-world continuation of Frey's ideals. Engulfed in education and new thinking, he fell out of contact with his family.
Seth excelled at his studies. Relentlessly hard working, he received a doctorate in computer engineering quickly and easily. Shortly after graduating, he was recruited for a private research position and moved to appropriate housing within the Toride. After years of little communication, he spoke with his parents, begging them to join him, but they stayed in the Mids.
His parents remained to follow a mixture of Unity and, quietly, Frey's ideals. They supported others regardless of species, but followed just enough Ministry regulations to avoid outright repercussions. Seth stayed in contact, always trying to convince them to leave the purebreds for their own safety.
This continued for years, until shortly after the Colonial attack of 29 ECE. Seth lost contact with them for weeks. Eventually he went to check up on them in person and found their apartment ransacked, with the corpses of purebreds, Enemies of Unity, nailed to its walls. Seth left quickly, forever driving the thought of it all from his mind.
Currently, Seth is happily working and living toward Unity. He lives in a small, simple apartment but is most frequently seen wandering various levels of the Toride, always thinking of work and meeting his comrades.
Personality:
Seth either bears his heart or steels it away; there is no in between. He can swap between each on the fly, switching from soft and altruistic to cold and edged with cruelty. For Unity and his comrades, Seth is the former, and of course, to the outer class, he is the latter. There are select exceptions to both, most often the rare outer classer who seeks Unification.
Seth is greatly satisfied with his life. He enjoys solitude and simplicity, rarely indulging on anything. One of his greatest enjoyments is simply walking about the Toride. He travels a different level each night, thinking about his work, finding new places, and meeting his comrades as he goes.
Walking about, he changes slightly, enjoying company over solitude. Often, he will spend the majority of his free time and salary on others. Although warm to conversation, he considers himself poor socially and will resort to spending creds to show his feelings.
He holds a controlled fanaticism for Unity. He has gone from viewing it as a science to feeling it as a core part of his being. As such, he has a hard time describing it and even feels the official propaganda does not do it justice. Although he would like to continue his parents' ideals, perhaps bringing as many purebreds to Unity as possible, he holds no sympathies for any Enemy of Unity.
Weapons/Equipment:
Tablet computer - Used frequently for work, notes, and communication. Carried in a shoulder bag that hangs at his side.
