Physical Description:
While still retaining strong feline characteristics, the influences of other species are obvious. Dense and long fur on her tail and elongated ears, as well as a slightly longer and more pointed muzzle give Mara a certain foxish look. This makes her look quite like a throwback to the common ancestor of felines and canines from ages past. Her fur is of a tawny coloration with an orange hue. On her front it fades into a lighter, creamy color. Stripes, while nowhere near as strong as on a pure tiger, are still plentiful all over her body. Her eyes are amber.

Like every Minister Mara is at the peak of physical fitness. She works out frequently to maintain her body. Proud of what she is, she usually wears Utility Whites (seen above) when off duty, a white leotard or a combination of short pants and a top when she expects physical exertion and a pair of leggings or light boots.

Incorporating a few small bags for everyday items, this outfit normally suffices. When she finds herself required to venture outside the Toride she might wear a thick, fur-rimmed coat over it. She mostly does so out of habit though, since the Utility Whites easily keep her warm enough, or when she does not want to be recognized as a Minister among the Purebreds.

Background:
Mara was born some time in the middle of 12 ECE but the exact date is unknown, as is the identity of her parents. At least one of her parents was a hybrid, but never registered. They were turbulent times and with regular attacks from the Colonies and the changes in the city's social system just beginning it wasn't unusual for some individuals or even families slipping through the nets. In 18 ECE both her mother and father where killed during a Colonial attack. The young hybrid survived by sheer luck. She was found by the Ministry after the attack and given in to the care of foster parents.

Mara herself remembers the times with her natural parents only dimly, but to her they are like a nightmare of cold, darkness and danger, compared to the bright and warm peace of the Toride. Her foster parents and Ministry propaganda helped greatly with that image, turning Mara into an unwavering supporter of the Ministry.

When she was 16 Mara attempted to apply for Ministry recruitment, but was turned down for psychological reasons. However, the Ministry recruiters told her that, if she was serious she should try again in 5 years time. She had avoided government work during those years, wishing to remain a blank slate for the Ministry. For the very same reason she had not had any sort of actual combat training, despite her strive for physical fitness.

In May of 33 ECE Mara applied again, and this time she was accepted.

Personality: Mara has never been the most open of persons, and Ministry training hasn't change that. Most people who had occasional contact with her won't notice a difference, but friends and family can tell that she has gotten more serious, more distant even. That's not to say that she has gotten unfriendly, but the training had subdued her somewhat. Still, Mara will always aid a fellow UniClass Citizen in need.

Towards the Outer Class it is a different matter. She will always eye the purebreds critically, considering each and every one of them a potential danger to Unity. However, the training did wonders for her temper and Mara has much better control over herself now.

Weapons/Equipment:
When on duty Mara wears the Medium WhiteGear of a Minister Basic and the equipment appropriate for her current assignment. There are two deviations however. Upon her request her WhiteGear has been outfitted with a tesla glove on the left hand and instead of the usual shock baton Mara carries a sword at her side.

That sword was a gift from her parents. Worth a fortune it is a katana of the most excellent workmanship available outside the Ministry. With a gravity-forged high-density, mono edged blade it is a deadly weapon and Mara is quite capable with it.

Off duty she usually does not bother with weapons, aside from the tesla glove that had served her well for years, even before she became a Minister.
