Physical Description: Lucy is a fairly small specimen, standing a little over a meter and a half in height and weighing in at around 52 kilograms. While she is mostly a feline in appearance, her oversized bat-like ears mark her as a hybrid to anyone taking more than a cursory glance in her direction. The feline portion of her genetics is made up a mingled soup of various cat species, but the most prominent features are those of a bobcat.

This hybrid’s fur is a pale dusty brown the turns to white on her muzzle, cheeks, throat, chest, belly, and inner thighs. She is covered in a mishmash of different markings, with faded dark brown stripes on her face, spots and stripes along her back, and rings on her tail. The style of her shoulder-length pale blonde hair changes depending on her mood, but whatever the style, it is rarely organized. From her nest of often-chaotic hair sprout her enormous ears, which are like a bat’s with a tuft of dark fur on the tip. Finally, her eyes are a deep golden color, with flecks of darker brown in them.

Lucy’s day to day clothing is typically unremarkable; it will flatter or hide her feminine figure depending on her mood. Her unusual clothing only makes an appearance when she is doing a show. For this, her favored attire ranges from old, dully-colored business suits with LED lights and strips of fiber-optic cabling sewn into them to short, slinky dresses adorned with all manner of trinkets and gadgets.

Background: The product of an illegitimate mating between a married UniClass man and an unmarried, impoverished Outer Class woman created Lucy. Her mother is a blend of various feline species, much like Lucy, so the assumption is that the bat-like ears are a legacy of her father’s. Lucy has never met, and will likely never meet, her father, as her mother refuses to talk about him, aside from that he was UniClass and she thought he, and the offspring of their mating, would be her ticket out of the slums. Unfortunately, Lucy is three-quarters feline, meaning she does not meet the Ministry requirements for being a hybridā, and her mother took pains in reminding her of this.

Lucy’s childhood was far from easy, though few have it good growing up in the Outer Class. Her mother blamed her for their social status. Her father was a distant figure who, on occasion, passed money to the family to keep her mother quiet, but the money was never really enough. Lucy learned early that she was going to have to figure out a way to survive on her own, and she set to doing just that through most of her childhood. Theft was her favored form of income, though it was never more than pick pocketing or purse snatching at best. It gave her the money she needed to buy the things she wanted, and that was enough for her.

It couldn’t stay that way forever, though. Once she entered her late teens, she realized that in order to really get ahead, she was going to need a new plan. While she just as easily could have continued along the path of theft and petty vandalism she had set herself on, she turned instead to her budding interest in music. She stole herself the rudimentary equipment she’d need to start composing her own songs. Techno and its many subgenres were her favorite, so that’s what she made.

At first, she only played small dive bars and tiny little venues that needed some form of entertainment for the mass of uninterested drunken lowlifes. As Lucy moved about the city, though, she began to accumulate a following; people liked her music, and even better, would pay to listen to it. As her fan base grew, so did the size and quality of the venues she played. After about five years, she was drawing crowds of several hundred to whatever venue she played. While she is still not wildly popular or widely known, she is recognized by other DJs as an up-and-comer in the circuit. Many at least know her name, even if they aren’t familiar with her work.

Personality: Lucy is upbeat and friendly, despite her rocky past. The way she sees it, everyone in the Mids or Undercity has to endure all sorts of hardships, so it’s not like anything she went through is out of the ordinary. There’s no point in getting down or depressed about something you can’t change, especially when you can change what’s happening to you now. While money is a huge motivator in her choice of profession, she enjoys what she does and is always happy to talk to a fan. After all, if you talk to a fan and they come away happy, they’re more likely to bring friends’, and that means more tickets have to be sold.

Weapons/Equipment: Lucy owns a collection of knives, but they’re more for show than actual use.
