"Don't like NuFu? You haven't tried mine yet--here, sit down. This'n's on the house."

Player: Karsh/Eliot/Rael

Character Name: Karsh Copperspine

Age: 30ish

Sex: Male

Species: Ghost bat/Orange Leaf-Nosed bat

Height/Weight: 5'10" crippled/190lbs

Social Status: Outter Class

Physical Description: When eyes settle on the ugly bat, the first thing they notice is a lack of fur, for Karsh is nearly hairless save a bit of bright coppery-orange fuzz on his head, ears and shoulders, the coloration the only real giveaway of his mixed genes--though apparently not mixed enough. The rest of his leathery flesh being a lifeless white color, often with brushes of pink moving here and there under the surface, and the blues of the thicker viens in his arms and legs clearly visible when uncovered.
His next most obvious feature are his over-long arms--in fact, they are not, it's his legs which are slightly crippled and too short, unable to flex out straight, he has learned to used his arms to assist his walking, giving him a knuckling gorilla-like gait. His upper body has grown well-strengthened for the task, but this has only added to his off-balance appearance, and recently he's begun to suffer from a bit of arthritis in his fingers and elbows.
Karsh has a roundish, kind face with a blunt muzzle and a big leaf-nose, huge thin-skinned ears typical of his Ghost ancestors and small, squinty eyes which, though bright and intelligent, actually see very little more than blurred shapes and dulled colors. He has wings, of course, but because of his overly bulky upper body, they would never support his weight.
The Ghost Bat can usualy be seen wearing any number of mismatched scraps (he can't really tell what he's putting on) bulked up enough to keep his furless body warm from his chest down, his chest and arms are usually left bare as he gets enough movement in those areas to keep warm, though he will sometimes don a pair of tatty woolen fingerless gloves. When cooking, he wears a thin rubber-like apron just to protect his chest and clothes from too much grease-spatter.

Background: Born in the Colonies and drafted into service during the Species Wars, Karsh served as a cook for his unit after his eyesight began to fail, making him a bad choice for combat. In some skirmish or another, his camp was savaged by a band of Felines, most of his colleagues left dead or maimed and the bat left crippled. He dragged himself around the Nightlands until he learned to walk with his hands, constantly fighting off beasts and other threats, twice succumbing to illness (the second leaving him hairless). He survived for a couple of years by following troops and camps and living off thier scraps as well as hunting in the Nightlands until he eventually made his way to Einheit city, a mere month before Operation Boreas.
He made a meager living doing any and all work he could get, which included paid hunting in the frozen wastes. He saved his meager earnings and has now moved into a small storefront and set up his hope for the future, NewFu, a modest little restaurant offering unique Nutra-Fu creations as well as real vegetable and meat dishes of the finest quality for those who can afford them.

Personality: The ugly little bat is generally jovial, amicable and servile--it wouldn't be good business to act otherwise, of course. He may seem a bit dim due to a slight, slow lilt to his voice, some unidentifiable accent just barely tipping his tongue. He might be inclined to give you your first taste of his "NewFu" for free. He's like a pusher, he knows you'll be back for more! Since he's mostly blind, Karsh doesn't care one whit what you are, weather purebred or hybrid, mammal or reptile or avian, unless he studies you close, he can't tell what you are.
Under his rosy personality is a slight undercurrent of something that tells you not to ask too many questions.

Weapons/Equipment: A thin apron.
A few knives of various size and quality--for cooking only (and they're generally left in the restaurant)!
One small restaurant furnished with a few tables and a "bar" all of scrounged materials.
A small, cobbled-together wheeled transport just for moving his goods.
