Physical Description:
Gourrie is incredibly small and aside from her legs, rail thin. She has a small rounded belly that protrudes slightly when she stands up straight and a slightly hunched posture to her shoulders and neck.
From the crest of her head down her back sprouts a thick brush of quills that ends in a dense thistle of a tail. These quills reflect her coloring, which varies in phases.
Her coloring can show as bright golden yellow to an icy metallic to white mint phase depending on the time of year. In between she will be mottled, and sometimes take on a metallic orange look between color changes.
Due to what she is, Gourrie is required to wear protective clothing at all times while outside her house unless accompanied by a doctor and having given a public notice of her appartment to be in a select area of the Toride. She copes with this by enshrouding herself in thick layers of beautiful cloth, head wraps, and dresses with tiers of lace and elegant hand woven and embroidered patterns. When fully covered, only her wide odd-looking eyes and short slick snout protrude from the hood of her garb, the rest of her is clothed, down to the glove.
The only place one might see her in a more leisurely fashion, is outside her elegant house, located high in the residential area of Toride. Gourrie lives in an ornamental glass house, which acts like a greenhouse, filled with warming lights and moisture. It is filled with hydroponically grown gardens, and a glass smooth fountain stream that flows almost Escher-like throughout. All but the bedroom of course, which seems to float in the center of her living space like a large gold marble.
Background: The Ministry would not purposefully engineer a hybrid so dangerous to others as Gourrie, she was born as an outer class hybrid. Little is known of her family save that her mother was like her, a golden frog. She was put down last year for accidental harm caused to a uni-class citizen dining in Midcity.
Her father raised her, and encouraged her to join the Unity class, due to the social problems she experienced in the midcity due to her hybrid state, and also her medical condition. He was a fairly wealthy man, even for Outer class, and he had been putting away money for her since her birth. It was a large sum when she turned 19 and followed his advice. He gave to Gourrie her life savings, saying goodbye. After she was taken into Toride, her father took a new wife, a porcupine, like himself. He never contacted Gourrie again.
The doctors treated Gourrie well; they became a steady part of her life in fact. She was taught how to dress, given a set of strict rules, and the first of many injections. She still doesn't know what the injection does for sure, but supposes it decreases her potency.
The rules included dress code, notice of visit, decontamination instruction, scheduled appointments, and other restrictions.
A local philanthropist who had learned of her arrival padded her savings account anonymously; still, she requested a job as a hydroponics gardener for the citizens of Toride and the local gardens and grocers. She purchased a semi-remote greenhouse that had gone out of regular use due to its locale and spent the next year alone, remodeling, while selling plants to the more well visited shops and gardens round the center of the tower.
A Ministry seal was placed with a warning near the door to the glass house reading in small print her condition.
Personality: Friendly, though reserved. She seems to be more than she is allowed to be, shameless and restrained.
Weapons/Equipment: none
