Character Name: Glass

Age: 25

Sex: Female

Species: Purebred Wolf

Height/Weight: 5'6" 115 lbs

Social Status: Outer Class

Physical Description: Glass is a purebred wolf in her mid-twenties who stands at five and a half feet tall. Her body is covered in black fur that takes on a slightly lighter tone along her muzzle, throat, chest, and stomach. Black hair tied back into numerous braids dangles behind her, each one containing shards of broken glass woven into the plaits; these chunks of glass clink together when she moves, and are presumably the source of her namesake. Cold blue eyes starkly contrast her otherwise monotone features.

Glass carries herself with a graceful gait, head held high and proud. She has a wide range of clothing, most of which accentuates her form while still remaining reasonably practical. For the most part, the young wolf dresses to impress, trying to convey the image of slight superiority to those around her. Having lived in the Midcity all her life, though, she is not foolish, and knows when to dress herself down a bit to avoid unwanted attention or confrontation.

Background: Very little is known of Glass’s true origins. She first appeared on the Undercity’s radar a little over three years ago, organizing small groups of hooligans into a tiny network of thieves and thugs. While those that followed her at the time were not particularly competent or graceful, she played things smart and never urged them to hit anything too big to handle. They kept to the small time, making little bits of cash here and there as their numbers grew.

As the fledgling group of criminals expanded, Glass began to approach larger organized crime syndicates with plans for bigger and better deals. The young wolf quickly gained notoriety with the organizations she approached for careful, meticulous planning that lead to major benefits to those she worked with. Glass never sought to take more than when she earned, keeping a percentage of the payoff from larger jobs for herself and her cronies while letting the larger syndicates keep their fair share. Greed, she would say, is bad for business when you are trying to get on your feet.

With the passage of time, talk of someone above Glass began to circulate. While it was clear at the time that Glass was giving the orders, it was thought that someone above her was calling the shots. She has since admitted that there is a man above her that ultimately calls the shots, but she refuses to give any more information than that. To any who ask, she simply refers to the individual as ‘him’ or ‘he’ and never gives a name.

In the recent months, she and her more experienced crew have gained the favor of several major crime families with operations in both Undercity and Midcity. The wolf’s reputation as a shrewd but trustworthy businesswoman has gained her enough trust from these families to receive small stipends to grow her own operation, provided that she never takes action against them. Quietly, Glass has used this money to expand her network to take on increasingly larger jobs. While she has very little practical skills to assist in criminal activities, she and a mysterious beneficiary who she claims to work for have a mind for organization and planning, which has proven invaluable to anyone willing to work with her.

Currently, Glass is still felt to be untrustworthy by many of the Outer Class’s criminal organizations. Some refuse to trust her because she never speaks of any motivations beyond money, and others see her complete unwillingness to even attempt to weasel more of the payoff for a job as reason not to grant their trust. Still, she has gathered enough support and money to begin moving her organization in the direction she wants to, and her underworld beneficiaries are waiting to see exactly what direction that will be.

Personality: To many just meeting her, Glass comes across as a predator looking for an opportunity. She is graceful and purposeful, both in her movements and in her conversations. The wolf does little to convey the idea of physical danger, but she always seems to be sizing up those she meets, looking for anyone who might be of use to her while at the same time keeping an eye out for who to avoid.

Glass is loyal to those who gain her trust, and she expects those who have gained her trust to be loyal to her. She is not what most people would consider friendly, but she is not necessarily unpleasant either. The wolf is driven, which leads some people to believe she must be ruthless and uncaring. Whether or not that is true is something only those closest to her can truly comment on, and those people are very few indeed.

Despite her network of petty thugs and thieves, Glass can often be found alone in the city when she is not planning a job. Moving around with a group of criminals draws more attention to her that she doesn’t want or need, and she finds that moving about alone generates less trouble for her than trying to get anywhere with an armed entourage.

Weapons/Equipment: An automatic pistol that she rarely carries on her person.

A knife that she usually keeps concealed in boot or coat.
