Physical Description: Elliot is not so much intimidating in her (admittedly impressive) height as she is with her air of no-nonsense, oppressively quiet practicality. The way she carries herself is stately (rather than regal, which would suggest superiority, something that cannot be tolerated within beloved Unity), and she moves slowly and with purpose. She does not wander, she searches. She is almost always shorter than her true height because of the curve of her neck, so typically she stands at around 6'6".

Her eyes are completely black with only a golden iris, her intense stare inherited from her heron mother. Her long neck is a graceful curve, and her equally long legs well-toned, as is the rest of her body; she swims often, exercising well enough to keep herself fit. Her arms sprout feathers in the pattern of a heron's wings, though they are useless for flying. She can fold them back long her arms to keep them out of the way (her lab coat's sleeves are open along the bottom, secured at the upper arma and wrist to allow the feathers to poke through). Her heron's crest of feathers morphs into the small crest-like mane of a giraffe as it carries down her neck and back; the tips of her fingers are made of the same material as her hooves.

Her giraffe heritage is not as apparent as her heron side at first glance, but the blocky markings on her back, as well as her hooves and tail, as well as the traces of yellow on her body, all hail to her father. She is completely covered in small, close-fitting feathers, giving the appearance of sleek fur, and softer to the touch than a giraffe's pelt.

Background: If there's one thing Elliot does not keep closely guarded, it is her past. She will tell it casually if asked, and it sounds simple enough. Born in the Colonies ("a Germanic-speaking colony" is all she reveals) to rather ill-matched (in the eyes of the other Purebreds) parents, she was given a name usually meant for males, simply because her mother insisted on something she thought sounded "clever". In fact, she took her mother's last name as well. Born a mere three years before the founding of Einheit, Elliot's parents did not follow Frey because of pressures by friends and family in their Colony.

However, they finally set off when Elliot was 8, at around 5 ECE, and with a few others in their group, they arrived at Einheit shortly before the Heart Machine was successfully activated. Elliot and her mother were close, but her father was often difficult simply by nature. While Elliot and her mother dedicated themselves to creating a life in Einheit, he often voiced longing for home; the mother and daughter interpreted this as illogical. Elliot, even then, held logic above all else.

Then the family was caught up in the war after Frey's assassination. Still, the forming of the Ministry gave Elliot and her family opportunities; Elliot was taken under the wing of other hybrid scientists, who were helping the Ministry to fight back against their racist oppresors. This way, the young hybrid cultured her love of science. Her father was in the background throughout all of this, uneasy, and ignored. By the time Uniclass citizenship came around, as did Unification (genetic modifying), Elliot's mother volunteered for the operation and was crossed with a giraffe, like her daughter. Somehow, *illogically*, Elliot's father refused. They left him.

Mother and daughter now live and work in the Toride; Elliot works as a scientist (she will only refer to her occupation as 'chemist', and the mere fact that she is either unwilling or cannot talk about what precisely she works on most of the time seems to suggest a high-ranking job.

It is thought that Elliot's father may have died in the Colonial Missile Attack in 29 ECE. As Elliot's mother says, this is a logical consequence of denying Unity.

Personality: As a scientist, her mind is tuned to logic, emotion usually making her tilt her head in a vexed manner. She is point-blank when she speaks, seeing no need to hide her opinions, and yet she is not aggresive or insistent. She is merely a quiet force. If there is something to be kept quiet, or secret, Elliot's beak will snap shut faster than a bear trap and there's no getting anything out of her. Somehow, she usually manages to convey a veiled sense of dedicated, almost fanatic, joy in her work.

A severely private person, she does not give out information on herself or even her interests at all readily, usually unless supplied with a good reason, or a good deal of convincing (in this case, she says something simply to get some peace and quiet). Nonetheless, to a select few, Elliot permits the nickname "Ellie", and will even give a smile more enigmatic and less chilly than her usual.

Weapons/Equipment:

-Lab Uniform & gear; Elliot always wears a sort of high-tech, protective leotard under her labcoat. This leaves her long legs free for mobility. Her uniform has various pockets where she keeps materials.

-Tesla Gloves: Elliot keeps Tesla gloves on her person, especially if making trips to the Midcity for whatever reason. It is unknown if they are lethal, though she does have a Permit.
