Physical Description: Danzig Salieri is a strikingly severe and glacial figure. Owing much of his appearance to his predominantly canine heritage, his muzzle is broader and his chin stronger than most dogs', although his features are a fair bit sharper and more angular than most big cats'. His coloring is a pale, icy silver with the typical markings of a snow leopard etched across his fur in somewhat darker grey. A mane of white, hanging to almost mid back when loose, is pulled back into a neat braid; his lion-like tail ends in a tuft of the same pure white, silken hair. His ursine blood doesn't make much of an appearance, evident only really in the shape of his ears and perhaps his height and the density of his fur. His eyes are an icy blue-grey and invariably gaze out from behind a pair of thick-lensed yet stylish glasses. Without them, Danzig is considered legally blind, though with some form of corrective lenses, he can see just as well as most. His stare has been described as "bone-chilling" by peers in his field.

A tall man, Danzig is leaner than his broad shoulders might seem to suggest. He possesses more of a runner's or swimmer's build with long, toned muscles rather than any sort of bulk. Almost impossibly handsome (in a frightening, predatory sort of way), he is never seen in public in anything other than an exquisitely tailored (and extremely expensive) white business suit. There is an expensive-looking, yet somewhat plain, wedding band on the ring finger of his left hand. His appearance is overly neat, out of obsessive-compulsion rather than vanity; there is never a wrinkle or stain, never one hair out of place. A deep, somber, nearly monotone voice and an impassive face, both devoid of any expression or emotion at all, fully complete the image; Danzig Salieri is 100% serious business, 100% of the time.

Background: Danzig was the child of a purebred jindo and a feline/ursine hybrid. At first a troubled marriage because of closed-minded extended family, the couple were early adopters of Frey's philosophies of unity and peace. Danzig grew up with some difficulty, occasionally with threats of violence from purebred peers, though his height kept them from acting on it...usually. This was when he first began to develop what would later become his infamous frosty demeanor.

A highly intelligent and talented boy, by high school, he was making headlines of education newsletters and academic magazines as an example of what supporting unity could bring...interspecies marriage would give increased intelligence to your offspring and greath wealth, success, and honor for your family!

It was also around high school when he began finding himself more interested in other boys than he was in girls...something that terrified him, as he knew the laws all too well (the idea of being reprogrammed through therapy is still something that gives him nightmares), and something that shamed and angered him. He became increasingly colder and more introverted, less given to socializing with kids his own age and even more and more dedicated to his studies. He graduated high school two years early and entered law school, emerging once again as one of the college's top students.

His job now is as a corporate lawyer, an invaluable work-for-hire legal assassin for the mega-corporations within Einheit City, specializing in cases involving copyright law and libel/slander cases. Rarely does he ever work for individuals because they usually can't afford him, and he never works pro-bono. At this point in his career, he can write his own paycheck and isn't tied to any one corporation; having his representation is typically considered as good as winning a case, and many lawsuits are settled out of court via agreements just upon the news of his hiring.

Five years ago, he was called into a case involving one BlueMoon supermodel. They are now married, though the union is more of a business partnership than any sort of loving relationship. When together, they appear as the perfect portrait of what unification should be...but business rarely allows either of them to be together much, and frankly, he prefers it this way. He has no intention of sharing his secrets with Venetia and would not expect her to share hers with him.

Personality: To say that Danzig Salieri is a cold man would be doing him a disservice; he is positively arctic. He is carefully guarded, controlled, austere...so much so that many suspect (erroneously) of some reptilian blood somewhere in his pedigree. Methodical, almost obsessively tidy and organized, calculating, these are all traits that only help him with his chosen vocation. There is speculation among his peers (of which there are few, honestly) that he is utterly without emotion; this is also untrue, because he does possess a rather cruel, sick sense of humor, occasionally surfacing in the form of a remark or by a very faint, twisted smile. Not without some charisma, when he needs it, he is also not particularly outgoing. Well-spoken, of course, on the occasion he needs to be, but not somebody most would feel comfortable with making small talk to. He is highly respected in his field for both his tenacity and his attention to detail.

He has lived his life so far without succumbing to vices (except for coffee, of course...), since the body and mind are both temples and should be kept as such. He is also somewhat terrified of what drugs or alcohol might do to his powers of restraint. An avid chess player and a reader (when he has the time), Danzig enjoys any game that involves thinking and logic...especially when it involves out-thinking an opponent. He has trained in some martial arts from boyhood, today entertained mainly as a hobby to keep himself fit and to relieve the tensions of his job and the stress of maintaining his double life. He enjoys collecting fine and expensive knives (especially rare ones), a frivolity he allows himself to indulge in.

Danzig, if asked, is 100% dedicated to unification. As a hybrid, himself, it would be rather silly to oppose it.

He is a very private man...though, perhaps at odds with what appears to be a reluctance to let anybody know anything too personal about himself, he does often reference that he has a wife, and he does wear his wedding ring at all times. This is because he is secretly gay, something that he can never act on or reveal to anybody for fear of the scandal it would cause and the way it would wreck his career, since homosexual thoughts and urges are a crime among the UniClass. Much of his carefully constructed personal barrier has been erected to keep anything regrettable from happening, and his orientation is something that, deep down, he feels hatred and shame for.

Just as still waters often run deep, you never know what may be lurking beneath a tranquil surface.

Misc: He has an assload of knives, but he's not a combat character, so he won't be pulling them out of his ass to fight people with. He only carries that one because he doesn't want to get the others dirty. They're just for crazy scary purposes and to make his apartment look like it belongs to a serial killer.
