"Greed, for lack of a better word, is good."

Player: Comrade K

Character Name: Bennett Skilling

Age: 34

Sex: Male

Species: 1/2 Black backed Jackal, 1/2 Mink

Height/Weight: 5 feet 9 inches

Social Status: Uniclass

Physical Description: Bennett’s form consists of an odd combination of features, though they fit well together, never giving him an awkward or ungainly appearance. He has a lithe build, with a thin torso and limbs, but with shoulders that are rather broad for his size. It is apparent that he keeps tabs on his physical condition, but not to the point of building excess muscle mass. The fur on Bennett’s chest is a creamy white, which tapers to a dull grey on the sides and on the limbs, with hints of beige underneath. The patches of grey fur share their respective locations with a thinner concentration of longer black guard hairs, meaning the outer edges of visible grey fur always seem surrounded by a slight halo of black. The grey fur abruptly turns to black as it reaches his back.
The structure of Bennett’s face seems to have been influenced primarily by his mother’s jackal genes, as he sports a long snout and large ears, though both have been blunted slightly by his opposing musteline blood, especially the ears. His eyes are essentially those of a jackal: almond shaped with and yellow, but there are subtle differences, and sometimes a glint of malevolence can be caught, though it is easily written off as some part of the mink within him. His facial fur is coloured in much the same way as the rest of his body: in the same dull gray, with slight cream highlights around his eyes and eyebrows, and the end of the snout.
Bennett always does his best to maintain a sophisticated and well kempt look. He dresses sharp, usually in a designer suit, with tie and all. His fur and clothing are always immaculate. He strives to look every bit the tycoon, and his looks can be somewhat intimidating. Even at home, nothing less than the most elegant and classy in clothing will do. It’s all about posturing.

Background: Born to a wealthy businessman father and jackal mother in one of the Colonies, Bennett had a relatively uneventful childhood. Due to the influence of his father in city affairs, Bennett was never truly bothered about his mixed heritage, though it was what likely precluded him from making any friends in his youth.
Pampered by his parents from day one, Bennett received the best in both leisure and education. During his early schooling, he was regularly chastised by teachers for being too arrogant and antisocial, one teacher going so far as to call him a sociopath. In his adolescence, he began to mellow, eventually appearing to develop into a polite and respectful individual. He attended the best academy in the colony, courtesy of his father, where he received an education in commercialism. After he completed his schooling, he was quickly hired as a manager for a large business, again with the help of his father’s influence. He gradually climbed the corporate ladder, holding increasingly prestigious jobs, until the late stages of the Species Wars, when it became clear to him that there were far more opportunities in the rival city of Einheit than within his own colony. He anticipated the eventual demise of his city, and used this foresight to his advantage by claiming he intended to start a new business in Einheit, which would secretly funnel any money and technical information he could acquire back to the Colonial corporations. The business community, stagnating and starved for innovation, naively embraced this plan and invested. Once he had all the funds he could raise, Bennett set off for the City of Unity, never to return. The Abzero bombs fell a year later, eliminating his debt, just as planned. Upon his arrival, Bennett immediately sought to become a member of the Uniclass, seeing the advantages it held. He was quickly granted Uniclass status after claiming to be a refugee who had escaped colonial oppression by stealing a vehicle and whatever else he could. Once a Uniclasser, He used the capital he had raised in the colony to invest in the stock market and become a small scale venture capitalist, with moderate success. He now works mostly from his home, but often makes trips to various other businesses and offices he has associations with.

Personality: Bennett’s true personality and the one his comrades recognizes are two entirely different things. On the outside, he’s friendly, sociable and a dutiful member of the Uniclass. However, the interior of his mind is a different realm altogether. His friendly and outgoing demeanour only serve to mask his antisocial egotism and callousness.
Bennett has devoted his life to obtaining power and wealth, only caring for people or ideals insofar as they benefit him and his ambition. He always maintains that he supports Unity completely, but in reality, he’d act as though he supported anything if it was advantageous to him. He couldn’t care less about Unity or any of the hybrid versus purebred conflicts, seeing it all as inane squabbling that is detrimental to progress.
He does whatever is expedient, thinking only of how it will generate profit, shrewdly calculating what move to make next.
Bennett tends to mould his opinions and attitudes to fit those of his company, whomever they might be, in order to more effectively push his own agenda and manipulate people. He has no friends, he has no enemies, he has only acquaintances with varying degrees of usefulness.
Of course, he takes care not to let any of this show, instead portraying himself as a productive and content man, simply doing his duty. He’ll always keep up the facade of being a model citizen, even when pushed to his limits, as admitting his true motivations would surely mean death. He appears to be an approachable and generally well intentioned person on the outside, although occasionally seeming a mite narcissistic and haughty, especially around those who aren’t quite his intellectual equals. All in all though, he keeps his ruthless ambition well disguised.

Weapons/Equipment: Bennett drives a fancy, but not overly so, four-seat aerodyne best described as a sort of sedan, with tinted windows and painted in a smooth glossy black.

He carries a small laptop like console which connects to his main computing device located in his home. Essentially a remote access system. Can also be used to access computers in his office.

A briefcase in which he carries the usual business paraphernalia and his console.
