Physical Description:
Ananya is a strong woman, which shows in her build, and how she carries herself. Her long fur is a hodgepodge of gray, white, and tan. Her eyes are a piercing field of jade green that borders on chartreuse. A small line of short stripes runs down her back, and those same stripes continue to ring her tail in a dark, nearly black, brown all the way to a dark furred tip.

She doesn't need to keep herself as heavily clothed as other citizens due to her thick, warm coat of fur. She wears light fabrics, which she learned how to create herself in the Hemachandran tradition. Ananya generally dons a loose, dark blue shirt which she tucks in that also ends at the beginning of her forearms, which she usually keeps wrapped with cloth. Over that she wears a black vest that helps keep her warmer on the colder days. Around her waist, above her loose, light, black, baggy pants, she wears a belt to which she has affixed a pair of knives and various small buttoned pouches that she stores her various things in, (mostly stolen items.).

On her feet, she wears a pair of old, black combat boots which are rather sturdy. They have, over the years, been broken in nicely. Most importantly, they are steel toed, a feature which has come in handy when Ananya is faced with unwanted, and usually drunken, male attention.


Background:
Ananya was born the year after Einheit city was founded (1 ECE). Her parents, political exiles from Hemachandra, and followers of Frey, raised her. Their cultural ties were still strong to the feline colony, but their allegiance to the oligarchic government was not. It was this saving grace which saved her father from persecution from the ministry on a number of occasions.

In 19 ECE, Ananya's Father, Ganaraj, was killed in a Ministry raid at a small bar. The whites were searching out supposed terrorist groups, and Ananya's father had been unfortunate enough to be conversing with one of the lead organizers of such a conspiring group. Accused of treason, her father was publicly executed on the spot despite his political exile and separation from the colonies. No formal report was ever given to Ananya or her mother Nivedita, though the ministry bursting into their home soon after her father's death, and the subsequent questioning had prompted them, once they d been left alive, to search for Ganaraj. They found him, head hanging loosely from his body, in the small cantina that he frequented, a little 'love note' nailed to his chest, courtesy of the ministry listing his crimes.

It was on that day that Ananya's mother began to instruct her in an ancient martial art, one focusing on the transfer of physical energy mixed with close combat strikes, one that belonged to the family Tusti. Through her grief, and pain, Ananya was trained to fight and defend herself. She thinks, whether it is true or not, that her father's passing gave her the drive to do well. As the city turned more violent, this art saved her many times. Ananya excelled, and she adapted the fighting style for her own needs as well. In a sense, it became her own way of defense.

In 23 ECE, Ananya's mother passed away in the night. She had been growing old, but the death was both mysterious and unexpected. Ananya became the last surviving member of her family, and the name Tusti. She managed to keep herself fed as a thief, though she never really associated herself with any syndicates.

Currently, she lives in her old family apartment, the one she grew up in. It is familiar to her. She steals for money and food, though tough times are making it hard for her to even make a simple dishonest living. Ananya holds a small and silent grudge against Uniclassers, one burgeoned by what she considers to be the blind murder of her father for associating with terrorists.

Personality:
Ananya is kind, but that kindness is something that can mask the intent to steal or backstab for personal gain. She is more self-serving than anything, and she has very few friends because of it. It is all so she can survive, of course, which is how she rationalizes her behavior. When she isn't trying to manipulate, steal from, or blackmail someone, she is generally kind. This kindness can turn false should someone do something to cause her to become upset, in which case she feigns friendship to get revenge. She has also traded friendship for money and food before in times when she has been lacking in either way to a great extent. She is not beyond friendship, but she is also not beyond using it to get what she wants.

Weapons/Equipment:
Ananya carries two small combat knives nearly at all times, as well as small blades and shards of metal which she employs in combat against those who, having been stolen from, choose to fight.
